Minimum Wage
Minimum wage in Durham Region, and in the rest of Ontario, is set by the Government of Ontario. The minimum wage is the lowest amount of money an employer can legally pay you for work. It is set at an hourly rate.
The general minimum wage in Ontario is currently $17.60 per hour. The student minimum wage is $16.60 per hour.
